Donna Young, M Ed, OTC is a Senior Consultant and Owner of Antler River Associates.

Donna brings over 25 years of experience working in the area of First Nations education at the national, regional and local levels. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Political Science, a Bachelors Degree in Education and a Masters Degree in Education. She is certified by the Ontario College of Teachers as a Primary/Junior education teacher. In addition, Donna has earned a Journalism Diploma. She has applied her experience in both print and broadcast journalism to her work in developing curriculum projects and teaching resources.

Donna has extensive experience in policy development and analysis, research, curriculum development, multi-media product development, school and management evaluations and community-based projects. She has worked as an Education Policy Analyst for the Oneida Nation of the Thames and coordinated the transfer of education services there from federal to local control. Donna conducted the initial consultation work with thirteen First Nations and helped to establish the Indigenous Education Coalition. Later, she served as the founding Executive Director for over twelve years of that organization which provides second level education services to its member communities.

Donna is of Oneida (Wolf Clan) and Chippewa heritage. She is a member of the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation.
